Entry-level science openings across the Pharma 50

Titles lie in both directions

This is the biggest trap in pharma job search. Astellas QC Scientist I requires a bachelor's plus eight years. Biogen Sr Associate I requires four. Takeda Associate Scientist requires five. Meanwhile Vertex Senior Research Associate accepts a brand-new master's graduate, and Biogen's Manufacturing Associate II/III is tagged “Entry Level, BS + 0 years.”

At Daiichi Sankyo and Bausch Health, Associate Director is senior management. Read the minimum-qualifications clause, never the title. The Strong and Stretch tags are our read of that clause.

Live versus verify

live means the posting was seen on the employer's own listing on 4 September 2026.

verify means it was found through a search engine at a valid employer URL, but that employer's site serves job data only to JavaScript so currency could not be re-confirmed. Open these first — one AbbVie posting that Google still surfaced as current returned “This vacancy has now expired.”

Even live is perishable. Bausch + Lomb's own search index listed a role as open two days after it had been filled.

Where the volume actually is

Prestige and hiring depth are not the same thing. Three of the biggest sources of bachelor's-level lab, QC and manufacturing work sit outside the top twenty: MilliporeSigma (St. Louis MO, and Sheboygan Falls, Verona and Madison WI), Grifols (447 open US quality roles, concentrated in Clayton NC), and Perrigo (Allegan and Holland MI, Covington OH, Eau Claire WI).

Conversely, Incyte has 107 open US requisitions and not one entry-level science role; Jazz has 62 and none. Their US sites are commercial and medical-affairs affiliates without labs or plants.

Two structural notes

Several companies route early-career hiring away from their own portal. Lilly runs its campus talent community through RippleMatch; GSK runs US intern and co-op recruiting through a staffing partner, Atrium. Applying only through the corporate careers site misses those reqs.
